Sonny Fulks is a graduate of Ohio State University where he pitched four varsity seasons for the Buckeyes from 1971 through 1974. He furthered his baseball experience as a minor league umpire for seven seasons, working for the Florida State League (A), the Southern League (AA), and the American Association (AAA). He has written for numerous websites, and for the past fourteen years has served as columnist and photo editor for The Gettysburg Magazine, published by the University of Nebraska Press, in Lincoln Nebraska. His interests include history, support for amateur baseball, the outdoors, and he has a music degree from Ohio State University.

Buckeyes Win Frisco Classic, Beat National Runner-Up Oklahoma In A Thriller

It wasn't clean, or classic.  But for pure guts and grit to persevere the Buckeyes more than proved they can play alongside the best with a 12-9 win over national runner-up Oklahoma in Sunday's finale of the Frisco Classic. Coldwater Finishes Second, Graham’s Hannahs Takes State Individual Bowling Title

Locally, the Coldwater boys finished runner-up for the second year in a row, this time to Riverside.  And Graham High School's Spencer Hannahs (above) took advantage of the Wayne Webb lanes in Columbus to capture the state individual championship.

The Buckeyes are hoping to play well and get back to .500 in this weekend’s Frisco Classic here in Texas…and with an eye on the future and even bigger wins, no doubt. On the ground in the Metroplex (Dallas, Texas) in preparation for this weekend’s Frisco Classic, there is always interest in Texas for baseball,
