Greg Billing began covering high school, college and professional sports in the Miami Valley in 1988 when he was a junior at Miami East High School. The Wright State University graduate has worked at the Troy Daily News (1996-1997), Springfield News-Sun (1997-2001) and the Dayton Daily News (2001-2016). He was inducted into the Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club's (DARF) Hall of Fame in 2015 for his auto racing coverage and has also earned numerous Associated Press awards for stories, headline writing and special sports sections. Greg lives in West Milton with his wife and two daughters. When not covering events, he and his wife are cheering for the girls as they play a variety of sports for the Milton-Union Bulldogs.

Worth The Wait: Botkins Claims Share Of SCAL Title

The Botkins Trojans took the Russia Raiders' best shot Friday night. And despite being a little stunned in the first half, the Trojans rallied in the second to secure their first SCAL title since the 1992-93 season. Banner Season For Tipp Seniors

The Red Devils kept adding to their accolades on Friday night. Tipp, undefeated and ranked No. 3 in the Division II state poll, clinched the Miami Valley League championship with a 67-53 victory against Sidney. The league title is the program's first since 2010.

Fort Loramie Continues Botkins’ SCAL slide

The Fort Loramie Redskins were looking for a statement win over Botkins, the No. 8 ranked team in the Division IV poll, and they got it. The Redskins held off the Trojans 49-40 to drop Botkins from first place in the SCAL.
