Beals said Pfennig, a freshman right-hander, could get the call. Canzone extended his team record streak of reaching base to 53 games with a walk in the first inning. He has walked six times in two games and needs two more to tie the tournament record of eight set by Swisher in 2001.

Magno Finishes Off Maryland In Ohio State’s 3-2 Victory

Buckeyes lean on their closer in advancing to Big Ten semifinals.  Buckeyes pitcher Garrett Burhenn gave the go-ahead point the morning after a suspended weather delay to Andrew Magno "You've Got This Mag" before Magno's first pitch of the five-outs needed for the save of the second game the morning after - in the bottom of the eighth.
