Greg Billing began covering high school, college and professional sports in the Miami Valley in 1988 when he was a junior at Miami East High School. The Wright State University graduate has worked at the Troy Daily News (1996-1997), Springfield News-Sun (1997-2001) and the Dayton Daily News (2001-2016). He was inducted into the Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club's (DARF) Hall of Fame in 2015 for his auto racing coverage and has also earned numerous Associated Press awards for stories, headline writing and special sports sections. Greg lives in West Milton with his wife and two daughters. When not covering events, he and his wife are cheering for the girls as they play a variety of sports for the Milton-Union Bulldogs.

St. Henry's triple-threat attack -- and then some -- netted a Cavalier Spikeoff volleyball championship at Coldwater on Saturday. St. Henry's Hannah Bruns (Pictured) and her Redskins teammates served up three wins to start the season Saturday.

After Three Days Minster, Russia Finally Get To Play!

Minster led from the first pitch in its Division IV regional semifinal game. Russia lost on the final pitch in its D-IV semifinal. After three days of waiting the Wildcats and Raiders finally got to play ball! Minster junior starter Austin Brown (Pictured) held Mechanicsburg in check with six hits, two walks and three strikeouts.

One Hit Away… Tigers Come Up Short Against Roger Bacon

The Versailles Tigers gave it a good run in the Division III regional final on Friday behind solid pitching from Garrett Toops and defense. All that was missing was a clutch hit in a 2-0 loss to Roger Bacon at Wright State University. (Pictured) Versailles finished ahead of Roger Bacon for this out, but the Tigers couldn't stay in front of the Spartans for good in the D-III regional final.

Versailles Avenges Loss, Win Away From State

The Versailles Tigers didn't face the best the Madison Mohawks had to offer Thursday in the D-III regional semifinals. It might not have mattered. Clutch hitting and stellar defense lifted the Tigers to an 8-4 victory and one win away from the D-III state semifinals.
