Versailles Advances On Ahrens’ Shot; Miami East’s Final Shot Falls Short

Both boys Division III sectional finals at Butler High School came down to the final seconds. Versailles got its to go to knock off No. 2 seed Indian Lake. Miami East couldn't quite pull off a near miracle finish against Brookville. Drake Ahrens (pictured) makes a last second shot with three seconds left that extended the Tigers’ season in a 43-42 victory.

McCoy: Loyola Outmuscles UD Flyers, 77-72

With second place in the Atlantic 10 conference on the line, two players from the Columbus area were major thorns in the sides of the University of Dayton Flyers, leading Loyola of Chicago to a 77-72 win in Chicago, dropping UD to third place in the A-10 at 12-4. JaVon Bennett (pictured) sat out the second half with a hand injury.
