To celebrate our upcoming sixteenth season online and place in the media mix of Ohio sports, Press Pros welcomes a new market and community of relationship with the Ohio Harness Horse Association.
It will be here in a matter of days, the culmination of a three-year tour of Ohio county fairs, harness racing tracks, and a long-time relationship with the Ohio Harness Racing Association Executive Director, Frank Fraas.

We have your next truck, and we have it in stock. Dave Arbogast is the official transportation source for Press Pros.
To celebrate Press Pros’ sixteenth season, the Press Pros site and the OHHA recently entered into its own association to present coverage of the 2025 harness racing schedule, including local county fairs, statewide-racing venues like Scioto Downs…and culminating with the grand finale of the standard-bred pacing horse season, the Little Brown Jug, September 18th, in Delaware, Ohio.
Why?
Horses and racing in Ohio holds a rich tradition of local interest and local, private ownership involvement. And the personality of animal, owner, and community awareness lends itself to one of the more natural relationships recognized in professional sports.
“It’s a sport where families and fans can go to the fairs in summer, walk through the barns, and get to know more about the horses and drivers,” says OHHA Executive Director Frank Fraas. “It’s an opportunity to forge a different and more personal relationship than what’s available with other professional sports.”
To illustrate his point, we visited with rising star driver Chris Page at Scioto Down (from Delaware) last summer on the occasion of his 7,000th career win as a harness driver. Literally the professional athlete next door that one would never expect, his profile on Press Pros attracted a surprising audience and interest for more horse and driver posts in the future. “We need more coverage, like there used to be,” said other drivers we met during visits to Scioto Downs . “There was a time when the Dispatch wrote about racing every day. The only time they write about it now is when something bad happens.”
“We’re excited about our partnership with Press Pros Magazine to bring harness racing news to Ohioans,” adds Fraas.
“Harness racing has a deep tradition in West Central Ohio. Generations have attended the area’s county fairs to watch these great equine athletes and cheer on the likes of Gene Reigel, Chip Noble, and the other great Ohio horsemen.”
We’re not horsing around. We’ll see you at the fair…or your local track.
