If you wish to be considered for the 2016 Hal McCoy Scholarship for study in journalism, communications, and language, this is your final reminder to get your application in before deadline.

This is the final reminder for those graduation seniors interested in applying for the 2016 Hal McCoy Scholarship for study in the fields of journalism, communications, and language arts.

If you’re attending an accredited college or university next fall, and wish to apply, it’s a one-time grant of $2,500 payable directly to the school upon completion of your first quarter or semester.

All students in the nine county area serviced by Press Pros…Miami, Shelby, Champaign, Montgomery, Mercer, Auglaize, Darke, Allen, and Greene…are eligible to apply, but your applications must be received, without exception, by April 1, 2016.

The selection process will be weighed heavily from your application in terms of school participation, scholastic goals, and a personal essay;  and the award will be made in May in coordination with your school’s end-of-the year recognition of scholastic achievement and other scholarship awards.

Remember…deadline for the Hal McCoy Scholarship is April 1, 2015!
