Russia and Fort Loramie more than made a statement for Shelby County League volleyball, winning their respective Division VII semi-final matches in straight sets to advance to Saturday's regional final...and a berth in the Final Four.

And his team won...Russia coach Aaron Watkins shows his displeasure over the Raiders sluggish play in Saturday's Division VII district final win over New Miami. Russia played through its youth (Hazel Francis, above) and shut out Jackson Center to gain their 8th win in conference play.  Bigger matches, and bigger goals lie just ahead...much bigger!

Russia scraped some knees and elbows (Aryana Cordonnier, above), but improved to .500 and stayed unbeaten in league play Tuesday with a defensive clinic and enough offense to beat Anna in straight sets.
