It took a stout showing from the defense (above), and a 60-yard punt return for touchdown before the half to jump start the offense.  But it all worked out - a team win, they call it - as St. Henry topped Celina for a season-opening win.

Coming off state title number eight, Chip Otten and the Coldwater Cavaliers go about their business in typical understated fashion.  Competition for spots is the word of the day, and a respect for history is their compass.

Nineteen years after their last state football title, and thirty two years since their last MAC championship, Josh Werling and the St. Henry Redskins believe they have the goods to honor a football legacy, and a community starved for a taste of the past.

Currently sitting on the longest winning streak in Ohio high school football, along with four consecutive state titles (15 overall), Tim Goodwin and the Marion Local Flyers are immersed in a pre-season of retooling, and truth be told...they're really OK about turning the page.

St. Henry's Karlee Baumer brought the excitement with three hits and nine stolen bases in a U14 barn-burner. Teammate Adalyn Zimmerman knocked in three runs and scored two more, enough to overcome Fort Loramie, and Lauren Poeppelman's 13 Strikeouts.
