Birch, Tracy Combine For Pitching Gem As Olentangy Captures First State Title

After starting the season 8-6, Olentangy proved it was a team of destiny down the stretch, capping its incredible run with a 2-1 state championship win over high-powered Springboro. It was especially emotional for Columbus Clippers manager Andy Tracy, who was granted leave to watch his son's final game.

McCoy: Wiss ‘Wiss-dom’ Leads Minster To Fourth State Baseball Championship

The OHSAA expanded the state high school baseball championships from four division to seven and Minster won the first Division VII title Saturday in Canal Park with an 8-0 destruction of Newark Catholic, a fourth state championship for Minster and veteran coach Mike Wiss.
