It always helps to find a guy who’s done it all, and can do it all. Former Versailles Policy publisher Scott Langston adds his touch as newest member of Press Pros staff.
What is they say about the term ‘jack of all trades?’ A person who can do a lot of different things because he has so many skills?
And in recent years some wise guy added to it, “Jack of all trades of master of none.”

But that guy never met Scott Langston, the former publisher of the Versailles Policy newspaper, who after three decades of association and ownership of the Policy…this summer sold the weekly publication to Nye Media and Marketing as a continuance for the publication to serve the Darke County community.
Langston has pivoted, and now heads in a different direction, joining the Press Pros sales and marketing team and duties with the day-to-day content on the site.
“30 years was enough,” Langston said recently. “I’m ready for something different. It’s nice to work with additional staff, and I’m going to take some time to watch my grandson play (at Fort Loramie).”
Seldom does one find an associate within the same community of journalism with the background, experience, and knowledge of tradition to match Langston’s. For years he’s covered the Midwest Athletic Conference, with priority, of course, on the hometown Versailles Tigers. Now, he’s looking forward to covering additional, and different traditions!
He knows every crack in the roads covering Darke, Auglaize, Mercer, Shelby, and Allen counties, along with the people he’s headed to see at the end of those roads. Few are as familiar with the MAC and Shelby County League as Scott.
And as a college sports fan, he’ll similarly assist with Ohio State and University of Dayton events…along with the Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournaments, covering volleyball, football, boys and girls basketball, and spring sports.
It’s our pleasure to welcome Scott to our group, knowing that he’s going to make a welcome impact for Press Pros readers.
